I googled a bit, and found out that I need permission from the immigration department of Japan to study while I work.
If anyone ever did this before, or has seen someone who did this, could you please share?
I passed a resume screening for a company from the United States which has a Japanese office, and I want to know if I would be able to study for a masters degree while I work.

I think you have it backwards. If you were here as a student, you’d need permission to work. But no such permission is required to study while you’re here working.
