if it’s a noun phrase (including a な adjective) it needs to end with だ
if not, it doesn’t
楽しいと思う – i think it’s fun
簡単だと思う – i think it’s simple
楽しいから – because it’s fun
簡単だから – because it’s simple

そうだと思う
but not ~~そうと思う~~
