Hello everyone! I took the N4 this past weekend with the big goal of finally being able to do more reading without it being totally excruciating (in terms of not knowing enough grammar etc), and I definitely notice a difference in how quickly I read something like NHK Easy News, so it’s time to line up native language material. I also love food, and while I don’t tend to read a ton of gourmet/cooking manga in English, I do want to bulk up my food-related vocab for the next time I’m in Japan, so this seems like a two-birds-one-stone situation. Any recs for good ones (that aren’t Dungeon Meshi) that definitely have furigana?

甘々と稲妻 – Sweetness and Lightning
Maybe not very relevant but if you like cooking and anime then definetly watch shokugeki no souma. Its. Brilliant anime if u can handle a bit of ecchi. But boi is it hilarious and you can actually learn a lot about cooking
NHK Easy is native material. Just material aimed at kids.
WTF Kiritani-san you’re going to eat that?!
