Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in Japan?
So I’ve rented a house for two years (in kanagawa) and am about to move.
The cats have punched some holes in the 障子紙 and torn some of that soft crosshatched wallpaper.
I’m under the impression both of things are cheap to replace and depreciate over time, worth fixing before I move?
Also on what timescale does tatami depreciate In kanagawa?
What is with the young women holding up shields and waving at people?
I don’t know any Japanese apart from what Google Lens translates, but I don’t want to walk up and just take a picture.
Kind of breaks my heart to see them out in the cold getting ignored by everyone, barely wearing anything.
I figured they are just promoters, right? I hope they get paid enough for that.
