Would Japanese people use “blessed” and “cursed” in the same slang-y way English-speaking people do?

For example, the way you would say a cute or visually appealing image is blessed or an unsettling/upsetting image is cursed.

  1. I’m not sure if I understood your question correctly but for example they could say やばい (yabai) which both means “Amazing!” and “Terrible!” depending on how you say it. It’s not really technically slang-y, but it could be pronounced as やべ(え) (yabe(e)) colloquially/casually to put more emphasis to its meaning.
