Questions:

1. Kyoto Half day 1- If we do Fushimi Inari in the after lunch, do we have time to fit in Uji? Should we have lunch, then go to Uji, then Fushimi Inari, then back to Gion area for dinner? Or should I push the reservation back to 8pm to give us some breathing room?
2. Kyoto day 2, is it feasible? An afternoon trying to see Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama + Togetsu Bridge and needing to go back to Gion area by dinner seems too rushed. Knowing sun sets around 5pm, is this ok? Should I change the order of some places?
3. Tokyo – Is there a better way to organize this leg? Shimokitazawa, Roppongi Hills, and Tokyo Tower are some areas we’re wanting to see but can’t seem to fit.
4. Tokyo – Any good recommendations for Sushi by Shibuya? Any good places to recommend dinner by Ikebukuro? How about lunch by Ginza?
5. Luggage – are we only limited to Kureneko Yamato to forward luggage from Kyoto to Tokyo? Our hotel in Gion isn’t responding to our inquiry if they can do a pickup at their hotel. Ideally we don’t want to carry luggages in the Shinkansen.

Thank you all! Any input is appreciated!

  1. Jan 23 looks way too ambitious to me. Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji and Arashiyama are all minimum 45 mins away from each other. You will be burning close to 3 hours just in transit.
