A high school boy was arrested on obstructing public order by punching a police officer in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka, probably because he was angry with the officer for arbitrating a quarrel between his father and son.

On the afternoon of 11 November 2022, a 15-year-old high school student from Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, was arrested by punching a police officer who visited his home.

A 15-year-old male high school student from Fujinomiya City was caught red-handed on suspicion of obstructing public order by punching a 41-year-old male police officer who visited his home in some way on the head at around 1pm.

The police officer who was hit sustained minor injuries.

According to the police, two police officers visited the home after a family member of a high school boy reported that there was trouble at home, and while they were listening to the boy’s story, he became angry.

The police believe that there was a quarrel between parents and children at home, and the high school boy has admitted to the charges.
