Is it possible to learn an additional language while studying Japanese?

If you’re getting this question often I’m sorry.. ‘:D

I think it’s better to say “not too hard” instead of “possible ” cuz of course it’s possible.
I’m studying Japanese at school, it’s my main focus. I’ve always wanted to learn German too. Would it be too hard learn them together?

I know it’s really hard to learn two similar language at the same time ( I tried, and failed.) But these languages feel pretty different.

Anyone tried this? If so would you recommend it?

  1. It’s attention divided. Same thing as someone learning Japanese doing literally any other thing in life. It can be done. Will it be quick? Probably not.

  2. Learning more than one language at once is very difficult. You’ll find yourself mixing the vocabulary (as in you won’t remember the JP word for something and your mind will fixate on the DE word).
