Hey guys, so 2 years ago I suffered a massive corneal abrasion. One of the worst pains in my life. I got treatment in Canada where they manually removed a large piece of skin on my eye, put a bandage contact in for 2 weeks, and gave me 8 months of special grease to put in my eye in order to keep it from sticking to my eye lid as it healed.
Anyways, I’ve always had a feeling it didn’t completely heal, and it’s been bothering me the passed week. But I just woke up in the middle of the night to the pain of my dry eye lid reopening the injury. I’m in extreme pain, but I don’t know where to go. I live in countryside Okayama.
The hospitals in Canada carried the equipment to investigate eye injuries, which they then used to forward me to an eye specialist the next morning. Would japan handle it the same way?

If you are in lots of pain and don’t know where to go you can always try calling an ambulance. For hospitals you’ll generally need a referral letter from another doctor but you would bypass this if you call an ambulance since they will take you to a nearby hospital.
Not in Okayama so I can’t give more specific advise but I think you could try that. Good luck!!
