Dear members, I would really appreciate anyone’s feedback on my Dec holiday plan with my husband. We will be returning home on 29th Dec before NYE. It’s our second time in Japan and we will be skipping Hiroshima/Mt Fuji/DisneySea /Odaiba Yokohama/ Bamboo forest Kyoto this time around as we went last time.
What do you guys think of our current plan? Base is in Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka. I included the main things to do daily but tried to leave it flexible and free enough to explore.
Day 1: Asakusa & Ueno park
Day 2: Shinjuku shopping & Omoide Yokocho
Day 3: Disney land
Day 4: Hakone Little Prince museum & onsen
Day 5: Harajuku & Shibuya shopping plus cafes
Day 6: Travel to Kanazawa/check in/ and explore city Centre
Day 7: Kanazawa geisha district/samurai town/gardens
Day 8: Day trip to Shiragawa
Day 9: Travel to Osaka & afternoon in Shinsekai
Day 10: Kobe Kitano & Arima onsen town
Day 11: Kyoto Higashiyama & Gion (we have a kimono photo shoot for one hour in the afternoon at Gion)
Day 12: Kurashiki day trip
Day 13: Nara deer park
Day 14: Dotonbori Osaka / castle
Day 15: Free day to chill and do something spontaneous
Day 16: Return flight in the afternoon

Realistically, you can get the train to Osaka at the end of day 8. I often prefer to be in the train in the afternoon when attractions are close rather than in the morning (as I would have to wake up way earlier to have time to do stuff in the morning.
