I wanted to buy an (Android) app that lets me search 英辞郎 example dictionary (to clarify, I’m talking about the dictionary that is currently at Ver. 171 (released 2022-11-07), and contains 2.3 million entries). I found a few:
* [Handy英辞郎](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tecorin.handyeijiro&hl=ja&gl=US&pli=1)
* [Eijiroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eijiroid.inapp&hl=ja&gl=US)
* [英辞郎 on the WEB] (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.alc.eow)
Has anyone tried them, and maybe can explain what the differences are — or recommend one in particular? I assume they have the same data, so I’m mostly concerned with how flexible and fast the search is (at the very least, I need full-text search in both directions: J->E and E->J; would be great if the search results included conjugated words, but I don’t think that’s available in any app).
And do I understand correctly that the *英辞郎 on the WEB* has a monthly fee and is always updated to the current version, while the other apps are one-time payment but do not include future versions? (Not that it matters too much, as all the apps are priced very reasonably.)
