I’m pretty average looking 30 y/o guy but I barely get any matches, and when I do they are usually scams or just act uninterested. I don’t want to have to try nampa in the streets and I’m an introvert so bars and nightlife kind of makes me uncomfortable . How do you find hookups here?

Get out of your comfort zone I guess? Go in places where you find other people with similar objectives like the ones you suggested. You are basically asking for them to find you while being average

Easy and plenty of hookups opportunities there if you are “looking for something serious but, unfortunately, realize you are not a great match after the first date”. It’s not the nicest approach, but…
Speed dating seems to be a decently big thing there also look around for local clubs you might be into that’s a good way to meet new people.
It’s actually quite easy to spot fake profiles on Tinder if you’re fluent in Japanese. Also maybe you want to expand the age filtering criteria since there are lots of married women who are looking for fun. As long as you don’t mind the risk.
