children’s kanji dictionaries

Anyone have thoughts/opinions about these kanji dictionaries aimed at Japanese schoolchildren? Trying to decide between these two:

I’m doing self-study and halfway through WaniKani. These would help me enforce the Kanji I’ve already learned and also help understand some of the nuances and learn new vocab.

  1. They’re decent if you know enough vocab and grammar to read the passages but need to work on kanji. You could just as easily find the stroke order and such online though. The real gold is native Japanese definitions.
