13 day itinerary

Hi all, my (30m) first time to Japan with my partner (28f) and hoping to squeeze in as much as we can. In saying that, my partner will be 20 weeks pregnant at the time so I am conscious of moving around too much.

I still need to work out the finer details regarding activities. But I just want to make sure the dates and locations are structured well enough to make sense.

Dates are March 9th – 21st

Day 1 – Land in Tokyo at 7am. Check in at ‘Citadines Central Shinjuku’. Explore area around hotel.

Day 2 – DisneySea (yes I know she won’t be able to go on all the rides)

Day 3 – Explore Shibuya and Akihabara

Day 4 – Mt Fuji day trip

Day 5 – TeamLab Planets and explore Harajuku.

Day 6 – Train to Osaka. Check in at ‘Hotel the Flag Shinsaibashi’

Day 7 – Universal Studios (again, I’m aware she can’t go on all the rides)

Day 8 – Nara day trip

Day 9 – Sumo wrestling

Day 10 – Train to Kyoto. Check in hotel/Ryokan (TBC)

Day 11 – Explore Kyoto

Day 12 – Day trip to Hiroshima

Day 13 – Train back to Tokyo. Fly out at 11pm

  1. Flying back today – Id plan a bit more for day 5. Team labs took 2 hours and we went slowly. I’d recommend harajuku and ometesando – very popular with my wife.

For Kyoto, have a more detailed plan as buses and trains are less frequent than Tokyo.
