If anyone’s curious, this was the time period when the Anniversary Show was normally main evented with the IWGP Heavyweight vs. Jr. Heavyweight Champions against each other, but Taiji Ishimori was Jr. champ at the time and they didn’t want to run Bullet Club vs. Bullet Club, plus since Ospreay was still in CHAOS he acted as gatekeeper to Okada challenging at the MSG show. This match ruled, they absolutely still need to run it back.

11. There’s something about this Jay that just takes me back. Even though he was already Bullet club, his shape and without the beard, it reminds me of the first time I met him and Ospreay when they we both chaos and at the same table for the M&G!

12. One of the best matches of 2019 in my book. It’s rare that you see guys work a torso when they target a limb. Typically it’s an arm or leg as it’s easier. But White went to town on Ospreay’s ribs and to Ospreay’s credit sold pretty well. White is always best when he is counter wrestling and targeting an opponent’s limb. Just a few months later he’d have one of my favourite matches against Tanahashi at BOSJ final and he absolutely tortured Tana’s arm. Beautiful stuff and it’s why he is one of my favourite wrestlers.
