Hi there, I just landed in Japan a few days ago. I’ve found a place to move into, but I only get the keys this Saturday and doing the contract stuff next Wednesday.
Can I already register the address in the ward office so I can get a phone number, bank account and health insurance?
Do they need any proof of address when I’m at the ward office?

No. Only from a contract time.
Yes you can as the form asks you for the moving date, and you dont need any proof for the ward office.
