Any ex-Heart Corporation employees being hit up to work for them again?

Basically the title.

I got an email seeing if I was interested in working there from an employee the other day who apparently was going through Gaijinpot applications…from 5 years ago. Do they not keep records of who worked there? I was employed by them in 2016 and couldn’t help but laugh because I left on pretty bad terms.

I noticed they are now paying only up to 230,000 yen instead of 250,000. Abysmal salary, even for them.

  1. Sadly, it seems 230,000 yen is now the standard for dispatch companies. Some even go below that.

  2. This is a race to the bottom. I feel bad for the students and schools who think their ALT is being paid a living wage and don’t understand why the ALT leaves early and has a cold attitude (in many cases, not all).

When quality goes down and ALTs get a bad image, hopefully companies that skim wages will go bankrupt. At least on the JET Program CLAIR could step in and take care of major problems.

Heart is one of the least professional companies, so it’s not surprising they would hit up a former employee randomly. The turnover is high so standards are low.

Back in the early 2000s dispatch paid about Y270,000/mo. Wages have been falling through the floor. It’s not worth it anymore.

  4. They did that just before the school year started. I got contacted by a former coordinator of mine.

They’re low on ALTs and they wonder why noone’s joining with that 230k/m bull.

  5. I applied 5 years ago with no response. They hit me up 2 weeks ago using that old info (from their site database, not Gaijinpot) and I took the interview and passed. They are deeesperate.
