(Late Feb – Mid March 2023) ~14 day | Tokyo, Toyama, Takayama, Kyoto, Toyooka, Kobe, Osaka, Oarai

Hi all! My SO and I are seeking insights to flesh out our upcoming trip itinerary please, whether that be any restaurant recs, or potentially even alternative destinations we should consider : \~ ) I would like to add more unique experiences like fun animal cafes maybe??

*A little about us:*

* Huge foodies! Specifically looking for amazing value mom & pop hole in the wall shops, eating at local markets (lol our itinerary is literally seafood/wagyu driven)
* Not huge nature/hiking people
* 14 day JR Pass
* Both been to Japan before so want a mix of big cities and smaller towns
* Both have quite a few and/or big tattoos

Here’s our itinerary so far:

**Tokyo (2 days)**

* Arriving in Tokyo, staying in Shinjuku
* Exploring Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku area

**Toyama (1 day)**

* Planning to take Toyama Buri Kani Bus to Kittokito Market or Himi Banyagai Harbor Market for fresh seafood, not sure if one is better than the other

**Takayama (2 days)**

* Planning to pig out on Hida beef tbh

**Kyoto (1 Day)**

* Pitstop between Takayama to Toyooka
* No plans aside from eating in Ramen Alley (Kyoto Station 10th Floor)

**Toyooka (2 Days)**

* Kinosaki Onsen Town
* Staying at a ryokan, trying the other 6 onsens and enjoying a kaiseki dinner

**Kobe (1 day)**

* Planning to try Steakland for dinner but uncertain of where to go for lunch

**Osaka (2 Days)**

* Staying in the Dotonbori, any recs for more local shops in side streets?

**Tokyo (4 Days)**
