Unknown Caller After Traffic Ticket

Got a traffic ticket. Don’t really think I was in the wrong, but I accept it. First ticket in 25 years of driving. The strange thing came afterwards. The next day at the start of business hours I get a call from an unknown caller (listed as anonymous). This is strange. In the 2 years I have had this phone have never gotten a call from anyone other than my wife (its a line I reserve for work). I answer. No reply to my hellos. Just 5 seconds of silence… then they hung up… Any thoughts.

  1. 100% related. If you get a traffic ticket, the police call you the next day to see if you sound like the same person that they gave the ticket to. They don’t talk because they only want to hear you say “hello” a bunch of times. They use an AI to compare that to the recording of the traffic stop. This is covered during the updated license renewal video.

  2. Must be an evil spirit, that’s how it starts.
Next it will be the doorbell ringing at midnight…

  3. the problem is that after the plaintive hellos you didn’t say “…is me you’re looking for?”

at that point officers of the law are obligated to respond so the name and rank and confirm whether they are just “fishing” or actually have anything on ya

  4. This happened to me too recently. Got a call from an unknown number, moshimoshi, silence, they hang up. The thing is I haven’t driven in 6 years?
