Hello i hope everyone’s doing well 🙂
I am wondering about the fact of being able to change your residency in japan from a “temporary visitor” (1 month visa) to a “spouse of japanese”
I read many stories about people who want to do that but thier desired statue of residency is “student” and not much luck finding infos about “spouse of Japanese” residency.
What my wife and i want is for us to apply at the immigration bureau for them to grant me a “residency card” without having the need to go back home and wait for a CoE.(we have been waiting for 3 years now to be together…damned be the pandemic x)
What I want to know is if there is a possibility for them to stamp my passport and give me time to wait while they treat our documents instead of sending be back home 12000km away from my wife x)
And to be fair about the infos i got before is that the busier the immigration bureau the higher your chances of them sending you back to your country to wait
And the less busy ones wont do that.
So if anyone got some infos or storiesto share i would really appreciate it x)
