A bit specific question, but I’m currently in my first year of highschool (10th grade). I would eventually like to move over to japan. I want to become a game developer. Would the SAT exam be helpful, or is there a better way? Thanks
P.S I keep hearing the japan isn’t that open towards foreigners and treat them differently, but is that truly the case? My family keeps telling me this but I don’t think it’s true.

You’ve got this backwards. Get into game dev first, get a degree and some professional experience under your belt, then go to Japan. Learn Japanese in the process, if you can. There’s likely going to be more jobs on the programming side of things than the game design side, so I’d go for that if I were you.
That’s the best way. There’s other ways too, I suppose, but you can find them by searching the subreddit. You have literally *years* to do your research on this, focus on getting the best education you can right now.

Eh, it’s not much different to how any developed economy treats foreigners.

Agree with the other comment. Also don’t let people make you feel discouraged, people on this sub can be jerks sometimes and kinda shit on peoples dreams instead of giving actual advice. There is a big tech/ game dev industry in Japan so like the other person said, get your degree in your home country first. Learn as much Japanese as you can in the process, preferably with an actual teacher so that you may take JLPT test (pretty important to employers over there). Build your portfolio and resume to make yourself an impressive candidate and go for it !!!
