Wise has been recommended a few times on Japan life so I thought I would try it out.
I’ve been using wise for years now without incident.
Recently however, when trying to send funds from USA ban to wise, a request from ‘plaid’ appears asking me to register my usa bank by inputting personal info .
I’ve written wise a couple of times about this with no response (they have responded to me in the past concerning other issues). I wanted wise to verify that this message from plaid is not phishing.
Anyway, because they are not responding, my transferring funds to Japan has been slowed at least , and now I’m considering leaving wise.
So, any alternatives? Anyone familiar with plaid?

Plaid is legit. It’s just a token. You log into your American bank account through Plaid once and that’s it. You’re set
I put my information in with Plaid when using Wise and everything seems legit.
Hmmm…I am not sure because I just registered. So it was the first time I registered my American bank account and used Wise. So I put all my American bank account info through Plaid.
