Hello, can anyone tell me what is the brown sauce they put on the fried pork and egg on the dry katsudon?

  1. It’s selected tonkatsu/okonomiyaki sauce that has a slightly sweet taste. It’s one of the best things you can mix with a half-boiled egg and sauce.

  2. My mom’s Katsudon sauce starts out with julienned carrots and yellow onions. Cook that in water, soy sauce, sugar and Benito flakes. Once it cooks down and is tender she adds sliced Katsu and beaten eggs.
