Below is a rough itinerary for early June (I know, not the best time to go but it is the only time I have available to go). At the Tokyo locations we plan to just “walk around” the listed areas for a few hours, exploring then moving on. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
**Day 1:** Arrive/Tokyo Disneyland Hotel
* Direct flight to Narita
* Go to DISNEYLAND HOTEL (3 nights)
**Day 2 and 3:** Tokyo Disneyland/Disney Sea
**Day 4: JR East Hotel Mets Akihabara/ Asakusa, Ueno, and Akihabara**
* Check out, travel, then check into JR East Hotel Mets Akihabara
* Explore Akihabara at Electronics and Anime district, Yushima Seido temple, Kanda Myojin Shrine.
* Go to Ueno. Visit Ueno-koen Park and Tosho-gu Shrine
* Go to Asakusa. Visit Senso-ji Temple and Asakusa-jinja Shrine, Kappabashi Kitchen Street, and end the day at Tokyo Skytree
**Day 5, June 8: Shinjuku/Harajuku/Shibuya**
* Harajuku first
* Yoyogi Park and Meiji-jingu shrine before it gets too hot
* Takeshita-dori street
* Omotesando (shopping street)
* Shibuya in afternoon for views and crossing pictures/videos/shopping
* Shinjuku in evening for Kabukicho
**Day 6: Tokyo**
* Morning: Ginza.
* Aquarium art museum and eating/shopping
* Rest of day: Anywhere else we would like to revisit or that we didn’t get to visit previously
**Day 7: Travel to Kyoto**
* Travel to Kyoto then c heck in to hotel then head to
* Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
* Yasaka Pagoda (tower viewed from side street)
* Nishiki Market (street food)
* Kagizen Yoshifusa (tea and dessert shop)
* Eikan-Do Temple (pretty garden) OR Nanzen-ji temple (aquaduct temple and shaded)
* Kiyomizu-dera Temple (top of the hill, wooden platform one)
**Day 8: Kyoto**
* Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
* Tenryuji Temple
* Iwatayama Monkey Park
* Sagano Romantic Train
**Day 9: Travel to Osaka/Dotombori**
* Travel to Osaka, then check into the Park Front Hotel
* Head to Osaka Castle and Nishinomaru Garden
* Explore the Dotombori area.
* Visit Hozenji Yokocho and Temple
* Walk through Doguyasuji Arcade
* Namba Yasaka Shrine
* Eat dinner somewhere at Dotombori
* Snack at Kuromon market/street food
**Day 10: Day Trip to Nara/Sleep in Osaka**
* Travel to Nara in morning
* Walk to Isui-en Garden.
* Walk to Todai-ji Temple, Daibutsu-den, Nigatsu-do Hall, Nigatsu-do, Kasuga-Taisha Shrine.
* In the afternoon, make a loop south through Naramachi
* Head back to Osaka
**Day 11: Universal Japan**
**Day 12: Travel back to Narita and rest**
**Day 13: Travel home**

Is this all too much? Not enough? My wife and I plan on using the JR Pass to help save some money from all of this travel. We are ok “missing things” but mostly don’t want to over-plan and be exhausted each and every day.
