I was seeing some people complaining about japanese people not wanting to talk with foreigners in japanese, so I created this little phrase.
あ、ブラジルです。英語を分かりますけど、話しません。日本語を話してください。
(Umh, I’m brazilian. I can understand English, but I cannot speak it. Could we please speak in japanese?)
I have the impression that my phrase isn’t quite correct, so someone can correct it and give sugestions on how to make it better?
character complaining about being too busy with work and not being able to take a smoke break:
> ったく…落ち着いて一服する暇もねえ。
another character replies:
> ある意味、その方が健康的だと思いますけどね…
to which the first character responds:
> そうは言うがな、こいつ（タバコ）は理屈じゃねえんだよ。
not really sure what he means here? what does そうは言うがな mean?
