i cant understand what it means as the dictionaries just say work and give the example of movies, performances, novels etc. but what does ‘work’ exactly mean? as in creative work or..?
A work of art, an object or project that had a lot of hard work put into its creation
Yes. The works of Shakespeare. The works of Beethoven. The works of architects. The works of Michael Crichton…. here are some examples of some of my work.
Yes you could also use “piece” in the sense of a piece of music or a piece of art (but not in the sense of a piece of pie).
