Work in Japan temporarily as a foreigner?

Hello everyone!

I’m aiming to move to Japan for a year next August on a working holiday visa, and am wondering how hard it might be for someone like me to find a job for the year.

I am 22m from Portugal, fluent in English, working on my Japanese however still very early (just got done memorizing hiragana + katakana).

I did not go to college, I finished highschool with a diploma in Multimedia (vocational course), worked for a year in a call center as an agent, and got promoted to Team Leader, which I will most likely be doing until I leave.

I am most likely going to be living in Kyoto, as I am moving with my Gf who is going to be studying at Uni there for a year aswell.

In my situation, what jobs can I expect to be able to attain? Is being relatively fluent in Japanese the only option?

What can I do to better my chances of getting a better Job?

Will also appreciate any advice from people who might have lived a similar experience!

Thank you!
