This semester, I’ve stopped accepting late work. In return, I’ve made deadlines much longer than I have in the past and the change in workload is like night and day. Instead of getting almost every student submitting work hours before the deadline, students are spreading out when they submit their work. Instead of spending two or three hours grading stuff on one day, I’ve been able to grade a little each day because only a little gets submitted each day. It’s a pretty good system and I wanna keep it this way going forward.
