Disposing of Havu Sake

I have the unpleasant task of getting rid of an open bottle of Habu sake. Is it possible to leave the snake in there for recycling or does it need to be separated.

  1. Every recycling pamphlet I’ve ever seen says to empty the bottles – I would assume that includes snakes.

If you don’t want to take it out, I’d say put it out on the same day you’d put out broken glass.

  2. Dump the liquid out, dump the snake carcass into the trash (hopefully the day you put burnable trash out), put the bottle into recycling.

  3. Smash and remove snek.

Husband says to drive out to the inaka and throw it into the forest, like like all good ojisan.

  4. Contract your local mobile crematorium, and enshrine the ashes in a bottle of Ukon no Chikara in order to ward off future hangovers.

  5. Eat the snake ! Don’t let the meat go to waste ! Seriously I had the same problem a couple of years ago, if you’re in a major town with public sewage just cut it in smaller chunks and throw it in the toilet, if not, moeru gomi, like all “food waste”.

  6. Break the bottle, and dispose the snake as burnable trash, or call your local liquor store and ask if they take bottles as returnables. The old school guys eat them, as tsumami, or add sake and make new habushyu.
