My friend, a filipino lady married to a japanese, asked me for help, and I can’t seem to find a good answer online.
Is there a Japanese word on how to call the parents of your son’s wife? The wife and her parents are japanese. In english, the closest word i could find is “co-parent-in-laws”. She (my friend) wants to be on good terms with her co-parent-in-laws and so she is trying to look for a family-friendly term that she can use. In the Philippines, we use the term “balae” and it has a slight affectionate tone attached to it.

First name. You guys will go through a lot together so get comfortable with your new round table. Take them out for drinks or invite them over for dinner.
I looked up the equivalent Chinese word, and the Japanese definition doesn’t give an equivalent japanese word:
