Hey Redditpeople! Does anyone know good products for cleaning white T-Shirts? (Also grease stain removal?) I use Tide Pods and the Aroma pills. Any good brands of bleaches or fabric whiteners that you recommend? I can get it clean but can’t get it Stark white like Other Japanese people’s clothes. I need the shiny shiny whitey whitey shirt.

Grease stains I always found dish detergent to be the best.
First check tag of shirt for washing instructions.
A clean tooth brush, use that to apply the dish washing soap in circular motions. Turn inside out and do the back of the grease stain as well.
Sit 5ish minutes. Rinse in warm water, reapply.
Wash according to the label.
Costco sells big boxes of Oxyclean which can help keep white t-shirts white.
If you’re using American tide pods they may not work well with the cold water used for washing machines here. The Japanese brands seem to be better formulated for cold water.
As far as stain removal, [we use this one](https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00YLXYHJC) and it seems to work well. Apply the night before directly to the stained area and let it sit on the fabric for a while.
