Hi, I’m currently in Japan and on the 2nd to last day here. We shipped 4 pieces of laughs from Kyoto to Tokyo and only 3 of 4 arrived. The hotel can’t find the last one and are trying to work with Yamato to find the last one.
Any advice on what to do if they can’t find it? We leave tomorrow evening back to the US. The clerk told us the insurance covers up to 300,000 yen. How would we apply for this?

Yamato lost luggage and it hasn’t made national news yet?
On the other hand, maybe don’t make it national news, don’t want anyone to go seppuku over this.
More seriously, no idea how to claim the insurance, because this is (pretty much) unheard of. What does the online tracking day where the luggage was last seen? Surely can’t be far from there.
