Hi again, have booked first Japan holiday trip with partner.
Dates 31 March – 27th April 2023.
Currently booked for
Tokyo : 31st-5th — 5 days
Nagano : 5-7th – 2 days
Kanazawa : 7-8th – 1 day
(As per recommendation — thank you!)
Kyoto: 8th – 12th – 4 days
Osaka : 12- 17th 6 days
(Including 1-2 days dedicated to USJ)
I will provide more detail on the above itinerary when the latter is more detailed.
On the 17th I was thinking to begin heading to Hiroshima then to Hakata, Fukuoka.
Was planning to hire a car and explore the area — current idea is to see the nanatsugama caves. Whilst having the car I was also planning to drive to beppu and Oita to stay. Then see the hot springs and explore before flying back to Tokyo domestically.
Toward the end of the trip we want to allocate 2 days, 1 each for Disneysea and Disneyland. The next day we will fly back to Australia in the evening.
The potential time allocated in fukuoka/Oita would be between the 17th – 23rd.
Just wanting any input/recommendations/advice – on what to see, things to do, logistics of travel and transport.
We are open to seeing the countryside, hikes and walks, seeing interesting things etc.
