  1. I was going to make a cynical comment about this, but read the article and thought otherwise – it’s basically saying we need to teach people to be more aware and careful, and use tech to improve work conditions as opposed to relying on it.

    It was quite a breath of fresh air.

  3. I actually know someone working on this exact tech here. I tried to convince them to not add more annoying beeps to the car but we’ll see how it pans out.

  4. I’m pretty sure the technology has existed for a long time, it’s just not implemented in cars because governments won’t require it and car companies don’t think it makes financial sense (it costs money and consumers won’t pay for it because they think it insults them as a parent)

  5. IIRC, Volvo had heartbeat sensors or something in their cars ages ago that could alert the driver of someone in their car through the key fob.
