What would be the import restrictions on a shrimp dish?

My mom can make some tasty shrimp dish called balachaung, and I’m wondering if I would be able to take some with me in my checked luggage to Japan. It’s a cooked/dried food so no refrigeration necessary. I looked at the regulations and it just says no meat products, not sure if this would be different since it’s shrimp and sort of not the same? If I can’t bring it in I’ll get the recipe and try to replicate at home

Was mainly searching at the Japan Customs website [here](https://www.customs.go.jp/english/index.htm)

  1. Yes. Please bring cooked shrimp in your checked baggage into Japan and eat it. There is no need to bring the recipe. Shrimp, once cooked, lasts forever. A suitcase is basically the perfect place to store it. There is nothing wrong with this plan.
