Osaka December Itinerary Check

Hi everyone. After researching further (thank you reddit), I’ve come up with this itinerary for our Osaka trip. I haven’t really had time to plan anything so I’m currently overwhelmed and panicking. Please please critique and be as brutal as possible!

**Day 1 (Dec 23)**

* Arriving dinner time
* Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori area

**Day 2: (Dec 24)**

* America-mura
* Triangle park
* Umeda Sky Building
* Dinner reservation at Yakiniku Rikimaru Umeda Ohatsutenjin

**Day 3: (Dec 25) – Is it a bad idea to go to Kyoto on Christmas day (sunday)? Would really love to see the Arashimaya Bamboo Forest but im not sure how it being overly crowded will affect the experience.**

Arashiyama Area (Western area)

* Bamboo Forest
* Hazugawa river (observation deck)
* Ohkouchi Sansuo Gardens
* Tenryu-ji Temple
* Togetsu-kyo Bridge

**Day 4: (Dec 26)**

* Hirakata
* Yamadaike Park
* Hirakata T-site (Really wanna see the bookstore)
* Dinner reservation at Matsusaka M

**Day 5: (Dec 27)**

* Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima (leave 3:30PM)
* Direct bus to Nabanano-sato

**Day 6: (Dec 28)**

*\*Southern Kyoto – this is IF my family agrees to going to Kyoto again (for context my parents might not be too keen on walking as much anymore)*

* Fushimi Inari (Torii Gates)
* Nazen-ji (Zen Garden)
* Pontocho
* Nishiki Market
* Gion District (geisha)

**Day 7: (Dec 29)**

* Chill vibes
* Fly home at night

Main concern: Would it be better to move our visit to Arashimaya on a weekday instead? If yes, what would you suggest doing on Christmas day if not Kyoto?
