I’m wondering what Halloween activities to prepare for the kids (4\~6 years old) I teach once a week in a classroom. I was thinking of buying American Halloween candy online but it all seems expensive here. Would it be better to buy some Halloween decorations, put on Halloween music, and play some simple Halloween games? I’m looking for something low-budget/wouldn’t take too much time to prepare but still fun for the kids and authentic to some extent.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I have files of past Halloween lesson plans for kids that included games, activities, crafts and decoration ideas. I can send them to you this week by email. DM me for address.
Also, sites like these are good resources:

My go-to with those ages is usually musical chairs and a nice read aloud (*I Just Ate my Friend* is a fun choice for Halloween). Of course, crafts are super fun, too.
How about pass-the-parcel, using Halloween music? Or fruit basket, with Halloween vocabulary.
I usually do a Halloween version of bingo, and at least one craft or coloring activity (so the parents know they’re getting their money’s worth).
And, although I don’t do this personally, other teachers arrange trick or treating in the local neighborhood. They get the mothers to arrange the treats, so it’s all okay!
Make jack o lanterns. Cut paper pumpkins out of orange paper and have the kids decorate them. Use it to practice facial vocabulary and numbers.
Others have mentioned it but I was steer from edible snacks, however if you insist on handing out sweets maybe try baking some halloween cookies with orange purple and green frosting! Or making popcorn balls. its a fun snack that reminds me of autumn here in the US and ingredients aren’t difficult to find. I think some spooky decor and music along with a fun halloween lesson with crafts/games would be great for small kids! Don’t just cut back budget wise. you know how kids get when they’re thrown out of routine, don’t do too much where they get too excited and rowdy especially if its 20+ kids!
You could do fukuwarai on a pumpkin, but it only works for smaller classes.
I’d suggest drawing dream yokai. “My dream yokai has (number) (color) (body part)s.” as a listening activity.
Let us know what you decide and how it goes!
