Hi, I’m looking for a place to stay for at least a month in Kyoto area.
I found a net cafe that charges about 60,000 yen a month but wish I could find a private room for cheaper.
If anyone stayed in a hostel, a net cafe or others in Kyoto and could share his experience it would be much appreciated.
Also, apartment could be the answer, but between a guarantor, other hidden fees and the fact that I’m a foreigner I’m not sure it’s the right answer.

air bnb, sharehouse, or weekly mansion?
A residential hotel that charges on a weekly basis, aka weekly mansion, would probably be your best option. They usually have rooms with kitchenettes.
