I’m just here to remind you again that Karl Anderson has a match at Wrestle Kingdom and Daddy Shingo doesn’t.

1. Well, one of those people is an internationally televised star for the industry leader and the other isn’t. What do you expect?

2. It should’ve been Shingo/JONAH 1v1 for the NEVER Title. I would’ve loved to have seen that match.

   But then Tama would’ve been left off the card and he’d still be no closer to getting that belt back. I don’t have a problem with MG Karl, but at least Tama will have his moment on a big stage with a cheering crowd. And the NEVER Title can get built back up to a consistent level again.

3. Add Shingo to the match with MGKA and make it a triple threat

4. Karl/Tama is going 3-5 minutes. I don’t see the value of replacing that for a Shingo squash match.

5. I don’t mind this.

   He is a major player and creative has nothing for him right now.

   Having him just wrestle a match without a backstory makes no sense. They did that with Goto & Shibata after their big feud a few years back.

He’s surely the biggest name who didn’t make it but the list includes Taichi, KUSHIDA (bad luck), EVIL (say what you want but he won a lot), Cobb, O-Khan….. this shows how stacked NJPW’s roster really is. But yeah it’s a huge drop, those names will be trading water on the ranbo. Their absence from the card was weird, and honestly it was the reason why I thought they would have a gauntlet match for the NEVER 6 man tag, but I guess the ranbo is better for a preshow match.

8. Dude should have a world title, Shingo could damn well main event at a WK

10. Does anyone actually want the Ranbo to be on the main card? Having Shingo involved with KOPW legitimizes the belt, while also giving him multiple main event and featured matches throughout the year that he wouldn’t otherwise have. The tradeoff for that is he doesn’t get a match on the main card of WK.

11. I hope he crashes NOAHs New Years Show and challenges Katsuhiko Nakajima. Finally pay off those teases.

19. This seems like a future buildup for a WK title match. I can already visualize a promo about how he wasn’t on WK main show in 2023 which made him motivated to be in the main event of 2024 WK.
