Hi everyone! I am soon moving to Japan with a student visa (1 year) and I am bringing medication for more than 1 month. I have already completed the procedure and received my Yakkan Shoumei.
HOWEVER, I recently got new treatments and hence have a few questions:
1) I recently got contact lenses and will be bringing one year worth of them (i.e. 12 pairs of lenses). Should I declare importing my contact lenses, or no need?
2) I will not be bringing one of the treatments I have declared on my first Yakkan Shoumei. Is it a big deal if I don’t bring it even if it is registered on my Yakkan Shoumei? Or would you advise me to apply once again and delete the treatment I won’t be bringing ?

You will need to declare it, and probably resubmit your forms. While it is unlikely that customs will notice/care/penalize you, it’s still *possible*.

It’s not a big deal. But since you’re going to be redeclaring for your contacts, you may as well leave it off the new forms.
