Introducing yourself informally/playfully to an Internet stranger

Suppose I am on Tandem or another language exchange platform and I send a message to another person for the first time.

In Anglophone online culture it seems like it’s frequently acceptable to jump right into a playful/familiar register and say something like “hey, what’s up, love the dog in your photo and omg you like hiking too?”, no introduction necessary, since if your interlocutor can look at your profile to ascertain basic details about you (name, age, location, occupation, hobbies) the introduction is somewhat redundant.

I am curious how you might go about doing this in Japanese and whether that’s common/desirable/discouraged to do. Suppose I start off by writing something like:
「ハロー、初めまして、共通の趣味がたくさんあるそうだ、プロファイルの写真での犬がとても可愛くて、君にもハイキングが好きだ、すごいね!」

Like, maybe the answer is “no, absolutely don’t do this, do the 自己紹介, say よろしくお願いします”, but I’m curious if maybe the answer is “yes what you wrote is fine” or “yes but not exactly the way your example looks.”
