Long term expats – why did you come to Japan, and what’s keeping you here?

I know this question has been asked before in different forms, but I hope it stays up! I don’t think a question asking both initial and final reasons together has been asked 🙂

I’m also interested at what age you moved to Japan. If you’re comfortable, it would also be cool to see what prefecture you lived in when you first moved to Japan!

Also, if there are any new grads who moved to Japan, your experience in particular would interest me, since I’m thinking of doing the same thing potentially (not being in Japan long term, but to move abroad there after graduating uni)
