Hi! So, i‘m preparing a tabletop rpg session in the cyberpunk universe and i‘m gathering music tracks for atmosphere. There’s obviously this whole neon samurai aesthetic going on in cyberpunk, so some japanese hip hop and rap would be awesome for the vibe. I have no idea about the genre though, could you point me in the direction of your favourite artists?
Thanks!

I think she’s maybe more pop/hip hop, but I really like Chanmina!
SKY-HI, (sic)boy, and if auto tune is on the table Tohji! Also Miyachi!
not sure if it’s the vibe, but a lot of Reol’s stuff might fit into a cyberpunk setting
I like the band CHAI, they use English a good bit, but they have a futuristic kind of sound
Vaundy is cool too, might not be the vibe you want though.
Wednesday Campanella does some cool songs with rap! I don’t think it could be considered hiphop, but still good stuff. Check out Ikkyu-san and Edison.
Miyachi makes great music IMO, he also speaks English and will rap in English at times as well.
Here’s something old school (NITRO MICROPHONE UNDERGROUND):

It won’t fit that vibe, but I’ve really been enjoying a group called ‘Rhymesters’ recently. Their 1999 album 「リスぺクト」has been on loop a lot.
There’s this song called “the matrix” that might fit the vibe you’re looking for, it’s by dj chari & dj tatsuki. You could look through the songs they did (they feature various rappers )
You could check out bad hop (rap group), awich (she might fit what you’re looking for), jin dogg, yellow bucks, anarchy, lex, and jp the wavy to name a few.
I’m not sure what kind of rap you’re looking for specifically so I hope you find at least one artist/song useful.
Butterfly Dream by Mukuro, Gilla Gilla by Awich, Cyberpunk by JJJ.
Other people I like are JP the Wavy, MC Tyson, Kid Fresino, Yellow Bucks, etc.
Creepy Nuts (yes, it’s a real name)

Might not fit if the inclusion of Japanese vocals is crucial to the vibe you want, but check out Asterism, an instrumental metal trio with a blue-haired female lead guitarist and anime / video-game influences: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChW49WDAfg2slMaak9Q0Ayw](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChW49WDAfg2slMaak9Q0Ayw) (Their anime theme song cover series could be a reasonable bet for you.)
NINGEN ISU is another very Japanese, weird metal group that does have vocals : [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnasJsWJZXDXeLg1ezicr-A](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnasJsWJZXDXeLg1ezicr-A)
gotta mention AK-69
