learning with ADHD

I really wanna learn Japanese, but i’m overwhelmed on where to start (i’m easily overwhelmed in general, honestly). i have inattentive ADHD. I tend to pick things up and then drop them easily, creating new routines and sticking to them is *hard* for me. i also tend to get frustrated really easily and drop things due to that, so, advice?

(not sure is this is the proper tag btw)

  1. Honesstly you’ll just need to figure out what works for you. Creating and sticking to routines is hard for everyone, and there’s no shortcut or trick to it. Maybe start by trying to figure out why you actually want to learn Japanese – if it’s not a sufficiently strong reason, you’ll probably find it difficult to maintain interest.

  2. In my case, i have a friend that is also learning a language (French), and he helps me not drop learning the language. I also have ADHD, so having another person to help motivate me and keep me on track is very helpful!
