I plan on going to a language school for 9 month ( or a full year if I have enough money) and after paying for the school, I will have around 20k usd in savings.
I also plan to live in a share house to have my living expenses be lower. Would 20k be enough for me not to worry too much about expenses?
I also would like to visit kyoto and Osaka during the school breaks if I do have extra funds.

20k usd is approximately 2700k yen. It is approximately a half of median annual income, so it should be enough, especially so if you intend to live in a share house and don’t have big expenses, like owning a car.
