The father of Jun Saito, 40 years old, a suspect in the murder of a family of three in a house in Hanno, Saitama, was interviewed and said that he was a really kind boy.
On Dec 25, three members of a family were murdered in a house in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture, and a neighbour was arrested.
According to police, Bishop William Ross Jr, his wife Izumi Morita and daughter Sophianae Morita were found beaten to death in a house in Hanno City on the morning of 25 January, and a neighbour, Jun Saito, was arrested.
On the afternoon of 27 January, Izumi’s cause of death was found to be haemorrhagic shock due to an anterior cervical injury, while Megumi’s cause of death was found to be exsanguination due to a left-sided cervical injury.
Subsequent interviews with the police revealed that the family had reported six cases of damage to their car and other property in the past year.
Police staked out the family and arrested Saito for throwing stones at their car in January this year, but the case was subsequently dropped.
The family is believed not to have had any close acquaintance with the Saito suspect and have no idea about the damage to the car, and the police are investigating the motive.
