Any recommendation for apartment location/area/district around tokyo? My offices are in the center of tokyo and near yokohama station, but I won’t come to these offices every day. I prefer a calm environment, but supermarkets, stations, etc should be reachable by walking or bicycle. Sometimes i’d like to go to cafe and bars too. My budget is under 100k yen for a 1K apartment and i’ve been looking for apartments in shinjuku bcs that’s the area i’m most familiar with but i think i need second opinion from you. Thank you.

I recommend Okurayama on the Toyoko line. East access to Yokohama and it doesn’t take long to get to Tokyo. It’s very cute around there. Shinjuku is not calm, it’s a dump.
It would help to be more specific about where in Tokyo. Center of Tokyo could be several places. E.g. it is very different getting to Marunouchi (around Tokyo Station) than Akasaka for example.
100k is not much if you want a decent new place anywhere near a convenient location, and a close distance to a major station. Double your budget, and whole new world opens up.
