Hi, I’ll be visiting Japan on Feb 5 and leaving on Feb 11. I’m a 29 year old male.
I plan to spend 4 days 3 nights in Tokyo and 3 days 2 nights in Osaka.
**Question 1:** I noticed that Kyoto is significantly different from Tokyo. Is it worth me cancelling my accommodation in Osaka and going to Kyoto instead?
**Question 2:** Can you please help me with my itinerary in Tokyo?
Here’s what I have planned so far:
Feb 5 (Sun) arrive 12:40
Buy a data SIM in the airport (10GB for $16 [https://cellulardata.ubigi.com/rates-and-coverage/japan-data-plans/](https://cellulardata.ubigi.com/rates-and-coverage/japan-data-plans/))
Check into Hotel in Akasaka
Rest of Daytime: Shibuya crossing, Akihabara Stores: (Super Potato, Kotobukiya, Mandarake, Hard Off, Sofmap, Radio Kaikan, Hey Arcade). Evening: Explore Shibuya at night
Feb 6 (Mon) Shinjuku
Morning: Goen National Garden Daytime: Eat Ramen, Ghibli Museum (I’m not sure if it’s open to international tourists?) Evening: Kabuchiko (explore bars, visit a club like Womb, Warp, Vent)
Feb 7 (Tue) Asakusa
Morning & Daytime: visit a bath (which one is good?). Evening: Nakamise shopping Street
Feb 8 (wed) Open – what areas would you visit?
Feb 9 Travel to Osaka
Please could you help with the itinerary above? I would be interested in places to visit as well as restaurants with typical foods to try. With restaurants, I’m looking for something typical but affordable, not Michelin starred dining experiences.

you’ll like osaka better than kyoto.

Personally I like Kyoto better. But other people like Osaka better. If you like temples, Kyoto is better.

You are listing stuff that are not really close to eachother. You only have the afternoon (less time if you arrive at Narita). Shibuya and Akihabara are at the opposite side of Tokyo, so you should do either Shibuya or Akihabara, especially since you have very limited time this first day.
>Feb 6 (Mon) Shinjuku
Remember that you need to buy the tickets for Ghibli museum beforehand. They release the tickets for February on January 10. So check if you can buy from outside Japan at that time.
>Feb 7 (Tue) Asakusa
You can do Akihabara on this day or the next, instead of the first day. It’s close to Asakusa.
