horse sashimi~ the texture is similar to beef (maybe a lil chewier) but the flavor is SUPER mild, it doesn't have any of the "meatiness" that beef/duck have which was kinda boring. the fat was the most interesting bite, tasted sweeter than beef, could be cool to cook with. overall it was fine

Hoshuin near Tokyo Tower is iconic for goshuin, it’s my favorite place. In Tokorozawa there is Musashino Reiwa Shrine and they often do anime collabs with Kadokawa. The inside of the main temple is gold and designed by Yoshitaka Amano. Kashiwa Shrine in Kashiwa also has some beautiful double spread goshuin to collect.
If you follow and look around on Instagram you’ll see a bunch all over the country. Also use “goshuin girl” in your search terms. You can pin interesting ones to a map and make a day of walking around to them like you’re doing the New Years Shichifukujin (which, the one that Hoshuin participates in is my yearly pilgrimage)
I used to be more active in my collections, but with baby it’s a bit hard until she’s older.
