Is “fly” really translated as “window to society”?

This is a real question so I hope I’m not breaking any rules. I got an exercise in Duolingo where fly was translated as 社会の窓 and I just wanted to check if that was legit. Is it more like an euphemism and is that really what they call it?

  2. 社会の窓 doesn’t mean fly. It’s means “window to society” and it’s used when someone zipper is down. I think Duolingo uses the jisho api. But jisho is sometimes wrong as it has an open source community.

    In England (north) we say “you have egg on your chin”

    So it doesn’t directly mean fly. But it’s a politer way to let someone know

    For zipper (the thing) they use チャック or ジッパー – but the phrase specifically means your trouser zipper is open.
